Now I Gotta Promote Dem Dere Books

Researching, taking the pictures, writing and editing 100 Things to Do in the Upper Peninsula Before You Die and 100 Things to Do on Mackinac Island Before You Die—well, that was only 99% of the fun.

The other 99% is attending book signings and gabbing with people about this part of the world.

Oh, then there’s the passing out of mini sampler bags (while they last) of the Dunking Toast of the Great Lakes Gazette, donated by Trenary Home Bakery.

Look for our splatter-painted Jeep as TJ and I make our way around the state at these events, and stop by to say hi (and buy a book or two).

Can’t make an event? Click here for info on where you can find the books.

PROMOTIONS FOR MY BOOKS
(all events are in Michigan; check periodically for updates and new events)

I love meeting and chatting with people at the book signings, like Mauri (left) and Garleen Uusitalo. He and I decided we’re related (we have the same nose and name!)

Michigan Travel Trio
Travel writers and authors Amy Eckert, Kim Schneider and I—who collectively have written a bazillion words about the Great Lakes State—have teamed up to talk about our books and offer ideas and insights about traveling in Michigan.

Amy is the author of 100 Things to Do in Detroit Before You Die and Kim is the author of 100 Things to Do in Traverse City Before You Die. We have some joint appearances and book signings planned as noted below; check back for updates.

Click here to contact me if you’d like to host the Michigan Travel Trio for a presentation and book signing.
